Absolutely stunning vintage pair of black Tahitian pearls diamond drop / dangle earrings mounted in platinum. Each earring composed of diamond set clasp in the form of a cluster bouquet of blossoming diamond flower petals, crafted en tremblant such that the petals sparkle and move freely while shaken. The ear clip is attached to a diamond setting adorning a very large 16 x 12mm pear shaped perfect silvery grey Tahitian pearl of a superb and firm color without overtones and perfect lustre. Tahitian pearl of that size and quality are considered rare. There is a total of 180 round brilliant cut diamonds set throughout both ear clips with a total estimated weight of about 2.7 carats. Gross weight of the pair is 30.5 grams of platinum and the earrings measure about 50mm (almost 2") tall along with the pearl drop and 22mm (about 1") wide. Scarce vintage jewelry collector set and one of the very nice and rare natural Tahitian and South Sea pearl diamond earrings and jewels.
