A very intricate and detailed antique 19th century Victorian c.1880 3-stone sapphire and diamond ring, crafted into 14 karat yellow gold and platinum settings. The round old European cut sapphire centerpiece possesses a fantastic Kashmir Burma color, although we cannot guarantee it is a true Kashmir. The fine Burmese sapphire was found to be natural and untreated with a perfect VVS clarity that measures 5x5x3.1mm with an estimated weight of about 0.55 carats. On both sides of the sapphire centerpiece there are two equally fine round old European cut diamonds, one of them measuring 4.5x4.5x3.2mm and the other 4.4x4.4x2.9mm, having an estimated combined weight of about 0.83 carats (0.43 and 0.40 carats respectively). Both diamonds have perfect E-F white color and spectacular VS1 clarity. Surrounding all 3 center stones into a diamond encrusted border, there are additionally 32 old mine cut diamonds, as well as another 4 diamonds on both sides of the shank. All old mine cut diamonds have an average diameter of about 1.2mm. Total estimated diamond weight for the ring is about 1.00 carats. The ring has a much later (possibly a duty or import) hallmark that reads 585 for 14K gold. Gross weight is 4.1 grams and ring size is 55 (US size 7.25 / UK size O), but can easily be resized. The elongated top of the ring measures 21x10mm and smoothly follows the line of the finger. Absolutely scarce antique jewelry collector piece and one of the rare antique Victorian Burma sapphire and diamonds rings and jewels.
