See scan – absolutely perfect condition for this lovely antique jewelry / jewellery piece. This is a nice and rare Victorian era gold and diamond hat or tie pin brooch with large lucky horseshoe top fully paved with brilliant cut diamonds and two small ruby stones. There is a total of 11 brilliants with weight slightly over 1 carats and the 2 rubies are about 2mm in diameter. All diamonds are old European brilliant cut with fantastic sparkling F or G color and an average SI1 clarity. Center diamond is slightly below 0.4 carats. The pin / brooch is 67mm long and the horseshoe is about 17mm x 15mm large. The weight of the piece is 4.3 grams and comes in original case. It is well known that the horseshoe brings luck and similar antique jewelry was very fashionable during this period of time. Scarce jockey and equestrian related collector piece and one of the nice Victorian diamond hat or tie pins and brooches.
