Item description:

See scan - perfect condition with only a tiny chip to red star. This pilot aviation parachute / chute paratrooper badge is a late WWII Bulgarian Royal issue from the very last days of the war and the Regent / Regency period when there was still a Bulgarian Prince / King, but all under communist rule. Currently this is the 3rd such issued piece we've had for sale. Probably given in a period shorter than several months!!! The Regency period itself was very short from the end of 1944 until very early 1947. Perfect detail of this badge - it is the VERY FIRST Regency issue with Russian type hammer and sickle star on top and lion is very different from all other issues as well as the red background shield. Great military / militaria collector piece and one of the rare Bulgarian badges.
