Item description:

See scan - perfect condition. This is a scarce and rare Serbian / Yugoslavian Order of National Merit or Merit to the Nation - 2nd Class sterling silver and gilt / gold plating. This is the VERY FIRST issue of this order right after WWII in 1945 and was awarded to partisans. The order has a Roman numeral 2 (II) at back, as well as number with a SCARCE and very low number of 6749. The hook is also marked by ZAVOD ZA IZRADU - NOVCHANICA and being one of the earliest examples known. Scarce military / militaria collector piece and one of the rare Serbian orders.
