See scan - perfect condition. This is a very rare Bulgarian communist era medal issued and presented to participants and members of the staff of the 2nd Bulgarian Space / Cosmos / Astronaut / Cosmonaut spacecraft mission. The Bulgarian astronaut's name is Alexander Alexandrov and he is the 2nd Bulgarian pilot cosmonaut so far. He was on board the Russian Soviet USSR space ship Soyuz and the flight was called Shipka in 1988. The medal is large table medals plaque size and made out of heavy bronze and rich gold plating / gilt. Presented to a limited number of people. Alexandrov is one of the very important people of the Bulgarian aviation history. Medal comes in original case with velvet inside. Scarce and rare militaria collector piece.
