Item description:

See scan - perfect condition. FIRST TIME ANYONE SEES THIS TYPE!!! This is a Bulgarian Royal pilot eagle wing badge from the time of WWI - King Ferdinand I issue. HOWEVER, although it is very similar to the more common same type wings - this particular piece has a relief 2 initials casted on top with the letters B and L in Bulgarian or B and P in English. Those mean Bulgarian Pilot. During the days of WWI Bulgaria was an Austria and Germany ally. This is the first time this piece comes out for a sale and so far maybe there is just one more such piece known to exist in a collector I know. Scarce item and a true collector gem.
